Lu 24:28-48 NKJV

“28  Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29  But they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them. 30  Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31  Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32  And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?" 33  So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34  saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" 35  And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. 36 ¶  Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you." 37  But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38  And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39  "Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." 40  When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41  But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, "Have you any food here?" 42  So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. 43  And He took it and ate in their presence. 44  Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." 45  And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. 46  Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47  "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48  "And you are witnesses of these things.” (Lu 24:28-48 NKJV)

There is a vast and critical difference between knowing the Gospel and living it.  Satan and his demonic legions know the Gospel....they even believe it, but they cannot nor will they ever follow and live it.

Today we again celebrate the culmination of the entire purpose of what we do as children of God.  Everything we believe and know to be the absolute truth is focused into the single act of Jesus resurrection. Everything we preach is finalized in the rising of Jesus from death to life. Just as his sacrifice purchased us from hell and death and gave us a life without an end.

Christianity has arrived at its earthly destination. We are living in the times that the prophets spoke of. We are seeing the game pieces move into position one at a time and presenting the reality that we could once only postulate and write as scenarios. Will we carry the Gospel in this hour?....will we be true to the mission of the call upon our lives?...will we Rise and Shine for our God?

The Awakening Starts with YOU!

Eph 5:6-17 NKJV

“6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7  Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8  For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9  (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10  finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12  For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13  But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14  Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." 15  See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16  redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17  Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Eph 5:6-17 NKJV)

Empty words are like empty containers. They were meant to carry something but in the end they only lead to frustration.  Our thirst can never be quenched by an empty bottle of water. Our hunger can never be filled by an empty can of vegetables. Our nutrition will never be met by an empty bottle of vitamins.  Emptiness is the curse of a life without God.

We are admonished to disassociate our lives with those things that lead to emptiness in our lives. We came out of darkness into God’s glorious light and that is where we belong....we are children of the light. Light reflects. Darkness absorbs. We reflect God’s light onto others.

Waking up is as simple as responding to the rousing of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Much of that is doing as Ephesians 5 encourages us to do and not be sucked in by the things of the world, but to arise from the dead...the dark....the things that absorb the very light that attempts to come into our lives.

Responsibility comes with Revelation

Ac 17:29-34 NKJV

“29  "Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30  "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31  "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." 32 ¶  And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, "We will hear you again on this matter." 33  So Paul departed from among them. 34  However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.” (Ac 17:29-34 NKJV)

Revelation is really a much simpler concept than we make it. Revelation is not necessarily some deep hidden truth that God imparts to us only. Revelation is walking in His truths and experiencing His truths making a change in our lives that is evident. When someone has a revelation of something topical...say math....a light comes on. You have understanding.  Similarly, when you are in “receive” are positioned to become a receptor of divine revelation that draws others to the Light in you that is coming out of you. Arise, Shine for your light has come!!!

Here we have Paul at the Areopagus. He has come with his great intellectual abilities and is employing to talk to one of the hardest sects to impact...the Greeks.  Greeks were learned...Greeks were art conscious. Greeks were rational thinkers...Greeks had a God called “The Unknown God”....the Greeks covered their know.....just in case.

Paul was able to use the Light of his understanding to utilize revelation from God in fulfilling his responsibility to preach the truth to the end of bearing fruit. Even the skeptical said “we will hear you again on this matter”, but at the end of the ay...he left He won some over to Jesus including Dionysius and Damirus.

Rise and Shine....stop reciting the Gospel and start being the Gospel

Isa 60:1-6 NKJV

“1 ¶  Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3  The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4  "Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5  Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. 6  The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD.” (Isa 60:1-6 NKJV)

God’s Glory does not fall upon his people for is to impact change upon civilization. While there are still those on the earth that are dying and going to hell, we must allow His glory to reside in us with the express purpose of touching lives wherever we go.

Our purpose is not to fulfill our dreams it is to offset darkness. We do not do that alone, but through the Brightness of His Shining.  The Gentiles...unsaved...will not come to us because of us. They will not come to our cool religion or our Jesus speak or our Christian Jewelry and our ability to say praise the Lord and Glory to God....they will come to the brightness of our rising....they will come to the Resurrection life that is in us. They will come to the risen Jesus that flows from a believer, sold out for God.

In the end, God is going to fully equip and maintain this economy of believers through Supernatural economics. It will not make sense to man, but it will be completely and totally embraced by the people of God. All we will do is be radiant. All we will do is continue to be the living examples of resurrection and life....all we will do is Rise....and Shine.
