Ephesians 5:25-27 NKJV

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Christ’s relationship with the church is that of Lord...but it is more. There is a definite husbandry dynamic that exists not for the purpose of control, but for that of protection, enlightenment, and purity.

Becoming that church is a twofold process of purifying by Jesus and submission by the church. When we become the church that serves the Lord, not out of duty, but out of entirely new dynamic comes into being, that is “The Glorious Church....Holy Spirit empowered and crowned by God Himself.

God the Father deserves better than a disconcerted, discontent, disconnected mismatched set of luggage stuffed with our oughts and offenses. He deserves our all. It isn’t just Father’s Day...Its “God The Father’s Day.

James 1:26-27 NKJV

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Walking in faithfulness is an attribute of the church that non-negotiable to truly become the Glorious church. The things described here in James 1 will never be accomplished by our own empowerment, but by selling out completely to the power and unction of the Holy Ghost. Only He can move our hearts to connect to the Father in such a way that ends our love affair with the flesh and causes us to adhere to the love of the Father.

Faithfulness is not an option in our marriages and so it should not be an option as the Bride of Christ. Being true to our God is the only way to be true to ourselves. A person in the act of adultery not only wrongs their spouse...they also pollute themselves. Placing God first in our lives is THE only way to see everything else in proper perspective.

Pure undefiled religion can only come when there is a pure and undefiled church.  Some of the greatest days this church ever saw were when we put ourselves on the shelf and served others. There is something about becoming agenda-less that moves the heart and hand of God the father.

Servant hearted

Matthew 20:20-28 NKJV

Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him. And He said to her, “What do you wish?” She said to Him, “Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.” But Jesus answered and said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to Him, “We are able.” So He said to them, “You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.” And when the ten heard it, they were greatly displeased with the two brothers. But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them.  Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.  And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

This is not simply a place of change for many of will be a place of revival. Being caught up in yourself and your agenda bucks every angle of the heart of God.

Here in Matthew 20, the mother of the Sons of Zebedee showed up with an agenda. Hers was to insure a place of honor for her two boys she apparently got the opinion deserved more than the others. Jesus was quick to point out that the grace of God was not a political favor, but a choice.

He spoke in a mystery that if the two boys were to walk in the place where they shared his “Baptism” and his “Cup” that there would be great price. He explained that those places were not his to give...but he did not say whose power it was to distribute such things. He simply said that it would be given to those for whom it had been prepared by His Father.

Servant hood is pricey. Putting your own worldly desires on the line to serve God is not easy, it simply places us in the position of bringing about the miraculous and God flows through our lives. Anyone who does anything powerful for God has had to lay themselves aside to see that happen.

II Chronicles 7:1-4 NKJV

When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord , because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord ’s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord , saying: “For He  is good, For His mercy endures forever.” Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord .

Here’s where it gets real....The Glorious realm. While the church is in the process of becoming the glorious Bride of Christ, the Glorious realm will not be brought about by half hearts and complaining mamies in the church. It will be ushered in by those who line the courts to bring the sacrifice of praise. It will be dealt through those who have lowered themselves to become bearers of His presence.

And we will not have to beg for it...It will appear as an all-consuming fire of His Glory that will sweep through the halls and capture every hungry heart.  It will not manifest upon doubt and will not be given to the unfaithful and the doubter...but it will be dealt to the ones who believe and the ones who have waited on the Lord.

With the Glorious fire of God upon his bride, will come the miraculous. It will touch and make believers of those who have doubted in their hearts...and it will further drive the flesh far from the temple. It will consume all that is not of God and confirm all that is of God.  The Glorious Church will not be driven by religion but by the Spirit of God. It will not be empowered by the doctrines of man, but by the anointing of the Father. It will not mingle with the world, but will cleave to the breast of Christ the Husband.
