FAITHFULLY SERVING

               Faithfully Serving

Lu 22:24-30

“24  Now there was also a dispute among them, as to which of them should be considered the greatest. 25  And He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’ 26  "But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. 27  "For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves. 28  "But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29  "And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30  "that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."” (Lu 22:24-30 NKJV)

Faithful to Christ....loving the call

Eph 5:14-21

“14  Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." 15  See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16  redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17  Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18  And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19  speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20  giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 ¶  submitting to one another in the fear of God.” (Eph 5:14-21 NKJV)

Being a part of your church’s worship experience is vital to spiritual health.

Saying you trust God yet avoid fellowship is like your doctor giving you a diagnosis, plan of treatment and then never taking your prescription.

A.W. Tozer said, “If we are not significantly aware of His presence, then, we may be unaware of His absence. Do we still know the difference?”

The added dynamic is that you are a needed element in the body to bring life. When you are not here…you are missed.

Faithful to cause......living the call

Lu 6:44-49

“44  "For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45  "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. 46  "But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say? 47  "Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48  "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49  "But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."” (Lu 6:44-49 NKJV)

We will walk a 125 acre shopping mall or a 350 acre golf course….but not walk fifty feet next door to share the Gospel.

Christianity is not a book, or a philosophy, or a social order…it is a life. You live this thing and it emits from your life before others.

God gave us a rock solid foundation on which to build our lives, yet there are many who choose to build upon the loose soil of the world. Flakiness is a symptom of worldliness and worldliness is a slow growing cancer in your life.

Faithful to corpus.....loyalty to the call

1Co 12:12-21

“12 ¶  For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13  For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body––whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free––and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14  For in fact the body is not one member but many. 15  If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 16  And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 17  If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18  But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19  And if they were all one member, where would the body be? 20  But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21  And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."” (1Co 12:12-21 NKJV)

We have religion to thank for the disorientation of the church. Ecclesiastic Entertainment has become the downfall of true church growth. People now follow popular trend rather than anointing.

Loyalty to church has become a critical issue in spreading the Gospel to the local community. The divested interest of Christianity has created a “competitive arena “ in religion….I.E. Who can “Pack the house”.

Church should never be about “where you go”…..rather, it should be all about “Where you Grow”.  When God plants you somewhere…..stick to God’s plan.
