Zechariah 2:6-13 NKJV

“Up, up! Flee from the land of the north,” says the Lord ; “for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord . “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.” For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord . “Many nations shall be joined to the Lord  in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord , for He is aroused from His holy habitation!”

Too many of us lose the window of opportunity to serve the Lord in the midst of the confusion of answering the question “HOW” do I serve the Lord.

The answer to that question is not so much a how as much as just being open arms to being used of God employing the opportunities He lays in our paths daily.

Remember that Luke 12:48 tells us that to whom much is given much will be required. Each of our gifts is a precious cargo that God has bestowed upon our lives not to be socked away in a drawer for ourselves...but it is given as bread to be cast upon the waters that in many days it would return. (Eccl. 11:1)

The issue with figuring out your appointment with destiny is not so much the question of how, but finding the motivation to recognize the Voice of God when he says to go.  Opportunity is all around...the desire within us is what must be stirred.

Fueled by the Holy Ghost

Leviticus 24:1-4 NKJV

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually. Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning before the Lord continually; it shall be a statute forever in your generations. He shall be in charge of the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.

Nothing runs without fuel. Our cars will lie dormant, our power plants will cause cities to sit in darkness and our bodies will become malnourished and die. Fuel is a necessity of life.  Spiritually, we must be fueled...and that fuelling in our lives comes from the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost burns continually. His flame of desire to connect us and empower us with God anointing does not wane, nor does He leave a lacking in us.

The Bible tells us that the purpose of the Holy Spirit is that of COMFORTER, TEACHER, EMPOWERMENT, and DIRECTOR. If we draw from the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives, our eyes are opened to a whole new realm of purpose and life that we can never know in the dormancy of the flesh.

Led by Divine Inspiration

II Timothy 3:13-17 NKJV

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,  and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

A person without prayer is like a people without a language. They cannot communicate. Our sense of direction is impaired and our ability to see ahead is disabled.  If you are not walking toward a are wandering.

The Israelites became self-centric, concerned with the things of the flesh. Their lives were no longer about the goal ahead of entering the Promised Land, but about their bellies and finding fault with Moses and Aaron. As a result, an 11 day trip turned into a 40 year sojourn of misery and idolatry.

The scriptures are not simply a collection of inspirational writings; they are a vital road map for humanity to stay connected to God toward an end that yields life and joy. They are our spiritual GPS. We set a course for a life that is full and complete and the route there ...every correction, every reproof, every instruction, every inspiration for direction is there...and given by God for us to complete our work here on this planet.

We become far too attached to this single century adventure through this temporary land...for our permanent home is but a journey ahead and the way there has been handed to us through the blood of Jesus.

Driven by Prophetic Call

Isaiah 21:4-6 NKJV

My heart wavered, fearfulness frightened me; The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me. Prepare the table, Set a watchman in the tower, Eat and drink. Arise, you princes, Anoint the shield! For thus has the Lord said to me: “Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees.”

The office of prophet and the prophetic in the church is returning with a vengeance. Post reformation, the church became steeped in traditionalist ritual and pomp; and in the midst, the prophet and the prophetic was made unwelcome, even viewed as “culty” or “mystical”. Truthfully, God used prophets mightily in the old testament and they were strewn throughout the New Testament, just in different form.

John the Baptist and John the Revelator, were both mocked and ridiculed as ranting lunatics, but they both conveyed the greatest occurrences that man has ever known or will know. John the Baptist simply told everyone that he came to make straight the way of the one to come....John the Revelator received divine dreams laying out the battlefield and the battle plan that will usher in the second coming of Jesus to the earth to settle accounts.

For us to not become consumed with the earthly we must look and listen to those God has established in this age that will be OUR watchmen on the wall.

If you trust your news to CNN, FOX, and the old school news networks, you are getting old single sided yellow journalism. PROPHETS BRING NEWS FROM HEAVEN. It’s the latest off the presses of God’s Kingdom.

The office of Prophet has been established that we may see what HE SEES. Clear vision will never be more important in the life of a believer than it is now. Prophetic call will be the call to activation that leads us into fruitful paths for serving God.
